This website is the sole project of Jeanne Oliver. Jeanne is a seasoned travel writer who has been writing about Croatia since 1996. Her latest book is Insight Guides Step-by-Step Croatia . Published in March 2009, this book has 15 personally-crafted itineraries with maps and specific walking, driving or public transport directions.
Previously, Jeanne has been the sole author of Lonely
Planet's popular Croatia
guidebook. After writing the Croatia chapters for Lonely Planet's
Eastern Europe, Mediterranean Europe and Europe on a Shoestring,
she wrote Lonely Planet's best-selling Croatia 1 in 1998 which was the first guidebook in English to Croatia. Jeanne wrote all Croatia editions for Lonely Planet up to Croatia 4
as well as the Croatia chapters for
Mediterranean Europe Jeanne frequently speaks about Croatia on radio and TV. (Listen to Jeanne's interview on NPR; read an interview (in Croatian) with Jeanne in Jutarnji list) For Lonely Planet, Jeanne was also the sole author of Normandy 1, Crete 1 and Crete Condensed 1. She contributed sections to Germany 4, France 5, Brittany and Normandy 1 and Greece 6. For Frommers, Jeanne wrote Paris on $80 a day, Memorable Walks in Paris and contributed sections to Europe on $60 a day. Her articles have appeared in the Miami Herald, San Francisco Chronicle, St Petersburg Times, the Denver Post, National Geographic Traveler and the New York Post. Jeanne also publishes:
