 Trstenica beach has great camping From Savudrija in the north to the south of Dubrovnik, Croatia has 526 camp sites. Although there are some camping grounds in the interior, the vast majority are along the coast, often in particularly enchanting locations, under the natural shade of Mediterranean vegetation and directly by the sea. Camping in Croatia can be a great family holiday as there's no shortage of campgrounds on shallow, sandy beaches with a dizzying choice of recreational possibilities.Two thirds of Croatian camp sites are members of KUH (Croatian Camping Union) which assigns ratings to camps and inspects the facilities. Very few campgrounds are open all year. Generally the season runs from April to October give or take a few weeks. Opening hours for the smaller campgrounds can be particularly unreliable. ALWAYS call before you arrive. One thing you can't do in Croatia is just pitch your tent in an open field. "Wild camping" is strictly forbidden and you will be fined.
