Flights to Istria

Pula is the gateway city to Istria with an airport that receives charter and scheduled flights during the summer season. Flights fall off dramatically between October and May. See for yourself by using this handy widget:

Ferries to Istria

From Italy, there are summer passenger boats from northern Italian ports including Venice to Rovinj, Porec, Rabac and Pula. See the map and schedule of Venice-Istria ferries.

Trains to Istria

The main train stations in Istria are in Pula and Pazin. In addition to inconvenient connections to Zagreb (in which you must board a bus for part of the route), there's a convenient train connection from Pula to Ljubljana, Slovenia that runs daily from late-June through August and takes four hours.

Buses to Istria

From Trieste and Venice , Italy and from Slovenia there are daily buses to Istria plus very frequent buses from Zagreb's bus station to all Istrian destinations and daily trains from Zagreb to Rijeka which is well-connected by bus with Istria.

Driving to Istria
