Istria to Kvarner Islands Itinerary

This is a nice itinerary to combine enjoyment of the great Istrian towns with a little relaxing on the beach. To do this in two weeks, you'd need to rent a car since bus transport on Cres, Losinj and Krk is tricky.

Why: Combine Istrian culture with island beaches in the northern Adriatic

• Start in Pula. Spend two nights in Pula, sightseeing and visiting the Brijuni Islands.
• Drive to Rovinj. Spend two nights, taking a side trip to Pazin or just enjoying the beach.
• Drive to, Porec passing the Lim Fjord. Stay two nights. Visit the Euphrasian Basilica; take day trips to Motovun and Groznjan.
• Drive to Brestova which has a regular car ferry that runs to Porozina on Cres Island and then visit Cres Town and Valun beach before driving to Mali Losinj
• Spend two nights in Mali Losinj, enjoying the beach and visiting Veli Losinj.
• Take a ferry from Merag on Cres Island to Valbiska on Krk Island. Drive to Baska
• Stay two nights in Baska. Visit scenic Krk Town, bask on Baska beach and then take a ferry to Lopar on Rab Island.
• Stay in Rab Town two nights. Explore the town and take the sun on the lovely Lopar beaches. Take the car ferry from Rab Island to Jablanac and head to Rijeka. Relax for two nights in Opatija or Lovran before heading back to Pula. Stop at Labin for a truffle omelette along the way!
