Vrboska
Vrboska

Naturism has a long and proud history in Croatia which now boasts some of the largest and best organised naturist campsites in Europe. Istria is the centre of naturist camping with seven major sites. There are three naturist campgrounds in Kvarner and two in Dalmatia.

All naturist sites are signaled by the sign, "FKK". The campsites are heavily frequented by German tourists so expect some schnitzel on the menu!

The "queen" of Croatian naturism is undoubtedly the vast site known as Koversada on an inlet near the Istrian town of Vrsar.

Other Istrian naturist campsites include Camp Kanegra north of Umag, Finida between Umag and Lovrecica, Ulika and Istra just outside Porec, Valalta near the Lim Fjord and Camp Kazela near Pula.

In Kvarner, there's the lovely Camp Baldarin on Cres Island and in Dalmatia, naturists can take it all off at Camping Nudist near Vrboska, or in Camping Sovinje in the Zadar region.
