Supetar

Supetar is the main port of entry on Brac Island as well as its administrative centre. Although many people only give Supetar a passing glance on the way to the much more touristed Bol, it merits more.

The harbour is an attractive place for a stroll and is backed by a small group of medieval streets. The most outstanding attraction is the 18th century Church of the Annunciation which is worth checking out for its altar paintings.

On the western edge of town is a large tourist complex, beach and watersports centre. The frequent ferry connections from Split make Supetar an easy day trip.

Getting to Supetar

Ferries from Split run nearly hourly in summer, less frequently the rest of the year. Still Supetar is an easy and pleasant day trip from Split.

Accommodation in Supetar

 Supetar has a nice range of accommodation from the two-star Hotel Britanida in town to the three star Hotel Villa Adriatica, Hotel Kaktus and Hotel Adria on the western edge near the beach. One of my personal favourites is the Pansion Palute also on the western edge, which I love for the homemade jam and the warm service. Find out more about hotels and private accommodation in Supetar.

Tourist Information in Supetar

The Supetar tourist office (tel 021-630 551) is at Porat 1, only steps from the ferry.
