Split Airport Location

Split Airport
Split Airport
Split's Airport (SPU) is at Kastel Stafilic, about 7km east of Trogir and 25km west of Split. With only one small terminal, Split's airport can get extremely busy in the summer but is nearly desolate in the winter. A modest expansion is in the works.

Airport Facilities

Currency exchange
ATM, Bank
Duty-Free
Sizable shop including local products
Refreshments
Restaurant with cafe-bar
Prestige

Opening hours:
6am-10pm
Miscellaneous
Between flights? The airport is only a 15-minute walk to a beach.
Tip
Most of the airport shops and services close in off-hours. Off-season shops and car rental agencies keep normal business hours.

Airport Parking

With only 353 spaces, Split airport's parking lot can get swamped in the summer. The good side is that it's an easy stroll to the terminal.

Airport Car Rental

All major car rental agencies in Croatia arrange for pick-ups at Split airport. Read more.

By bus to Split
There is a Croatia Airlines bus that meets all regularly scheduled flights to Split. The buses are organized by Pleso Prijevoz and the city stop is at Obala Lazareta, a short walk from the intercity bus station, the train station and the ferry port. Buses to Split Airport leave from the same place 90 minutes before flight times. The price is 30HRK. Local bus No 37 connects the airport with the local bus station in Split and is cheaper but the local bus station is a dreary spot a few kilometres north of the town centre. Then you'll need another bus or taxi to town or your hotel. See more on local Split transport.

By bus to Trogir
Local bus no 37 from Split stops at Split Airport before continuing to Trogir.

Split Airport Hotels

There is no airport hotel at Split airport but you're just a short hop from Trogir with an extensive choice of hotels. Even closer are the villages of Kastela with a number of three-star hotels.

Airlines

Split airport serves domestic and international carriers but the steadiest traffic are the year-round flights from Zagreb to Split. Read more.
